Opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to be part of a dynamic and experienced team. Beyond this, one Mid Level full time position is available for the right candidate.

This position is hourly ($15- $20 per hour) plus bonuses. Successful individuals make over $25 per hour on average when including the bonus program. Full time or 9-1 & 1-5 shifts available. Monday thru Friday

Necessary: A reliable source of transportation to work in our office in West Haven, CT. Telecommuting is not an option.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential new clients and target accounts.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate the advantages and benefits of our products and programs.
  • Ability to execute live call transfers of prospective clients to senior sales staff.
  • Maintain and update SalesForce database of prospects.
  • Building lists using custom internet searching tools to find high quality prospects.
  • Achieve targets set on a consistent basis.
  • Report activity and results on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with high volume outbound calling in a sales or marketing environment.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with great listening skills.
  • A team player who is outgoing and friendly with a high energy level.
  • Outstanding computer skills and the ability to master new software quickly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce preferred.

The ideal candidates are assertive, motivated individuals who have a proven sales track record and who are willing to be an integral part of a growing company. This is a goal-driven environment and salespeople are expected to meet minimum daily outbound call volume that translates into viable sales.

The successful candidate will be a “hunter” by nature, seeking and cultivating new business. Our expectation is that individuals will possess sales and business skills that will translate into long term employment, with the opportunity to elevate to a future management role of existing or new markets and products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Cold and warm calling to potential and/or established customers on a daily basis
  • Setting up sales leads and closing sales over the phone
  • Ability to handle heavy phone work and provide top-notch service
  • Drive a sense of urgency in accounts to speed up purchasing decisions, including payment
  • Enter all data regarding calls made in our SalesForce CRM, track sales and follow-through with customers
  • Work closely with Sales Manager to develop sales pipeline and provide solid leads for closing sales across multiple advertising opportunities
  • Engage professionally and effectively with sales team, graphics, marketing and management
  • Provide professional service to new and existing customers via excellent verbal and written communication
  • Research leads online and be able to uncover new sources efficiently

Ideal Inside Sales Representative Qualifications Include:

  • MINIMUM of 5+ years sales experience, 3+ years Inside sales preferably telephone sales with a one-call closing or short sales cycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with great listening skills
  • Assertive and competitive nature with motivation to succeed
  • Demonstrate ability to close sales and overcome customer objections
  • Sense of urgency and can-do attitude
  • Team player with the balance of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Performs well under stress and recovers well from setbacks
  • Optimize call time to drive daily productivity
  • Strong time management, follow through and organizational skills
  • Previous media sales experience preferred

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: This internship has a focus in Sales activities surrounding Search Engine Marketing & Optimization, Web Design, and Marketing Campaign development. Participants in this program will receive hands-on experience. Interns will build skills and begin to understand trends and technology that will give them a great foundation for a career in the sales and digital marketing industry.

QUALIFICATIONS: This is an unpaid internship and all interns must be students (open to all majors) and receive college credits for their internship. Interns must be at least 18 years of age and have a reliable source of transportation to work in our office. Telecommuting is not an option.

OPPORTUNITIES: Internships are available year-round and hours vary from 10-20 per week. Specific days and times will be agreed upon in advance.

DIGITAL MARKETING: Daily activities for this internship can include (but not necessarily be limited to) research, campaign development, search engine marketing/optimization planning and execution, as well as assisting other departments with projects on an as-needed basis.

SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Interns will assist sales staff, participate in sales training meetings, sales research, campaign building, campaign reporting and learn all steps of the sales process.
